BELLA NIPOTINA, the Queen of the Australian turf, is an $80K Rosemont Stud Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale graduate who has won 4 Gr1 races, including The Everest, and over $22.7 million. If someone had purchased every yearling sold by Rosemont Stud at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale from 2014 until 2023 (current three year- olds), they would’ve spent $22 million on horses and those horses have, to date, earned in excess of $49 million.

Even taking into account that one of those horses was The Everest winner Bella Nipotina, who has earnings over $21 million, the buyer still made a profit of $6 million on all the other horses you’d have as well as owning Bella Nipotina! “It’s a well balanced draft with a lot of depth and we think buyers will find some nice horses. We’ve been deliberate in this draft for Melbourne, as plenty of them were also accepted into the two other major sales in Australia, but we’ve decided to take them here and have been steadfast in offering a strong draft,” said Ryan McEvoy.

“You can see this with the Frankel, who is a standout colt, beautifully related and a real stunner.” Lot 201, by Frankel has plenty of stallion credentials being the second foal of Canadian Gr3 winner Heavenly Curlin from the Redoute’s Choice family. The first crop of Extreme Warrior are the leading lights for Rosemont Stud heading into the 2025 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale in Melbourne. Extreme Warrior is a brilliant son of statistically impressive Extreme Choice.

“We are excited to offer the first crop of Extreme Warrior this year at the major sales. Extreme Warrior was a very dynamic horse, a high class two year-old who trained on at three. He won the Blue Sapphire which is the main lead up to the Coolmore, and he won it easily to become the Coolmore favourite. He’s a son of Extreme Choice from a great family, and we are bullish about his potential influence.” “We have two lovely colts in our draft.

The half to Krone is an eye-catching athletic colt who looks light on his feet, moves well, is a great shape and has a strong hindquarter. The other is out of a half-sister to Brooklyn Hustle, and he should be well received, as he’s a nice style of colt, with a bit of resemblance to his sire and the female family. We are excited to see what level the buyers take them to.” The Extreme Warrior half-brother to Gr1 Coolmore Classic winner Krone, Lot 476, is out of a half-sister to Gr1 winner and sire Universal Ruler, Gr1 winner Universal Queen, and the dam of triple Gr1 winner Think It Over.

Lot 86 is a colt who is the first foal of Brooklyn Hustle’s half-sister Brooklyn Heat. His second dam, Joint Aspiration, was a Listed winner and this is a strong early maturing family. Rosemont Stud’s 2024 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale draft is already on the board with exciting juvenile filly Rohesia (Hanseatic) running third on debut in the Listed Inglis Banner Stakes. By Rosemont’s own Hanseatic, whose first crop also includes the winner Tiz Worthy and stakes placed Bermondsey, the farm will present eight yearlings from his second crop at the upcoming sale.

“Hanseatic is a young sire that we are excited about. He’s had a couple of stakes performers already, and we have a good line up them in this draft.” Lot 13 is bred to fly early, being the second foal of Gr3 Blue Diamond Preview winner, A Beautiful Night, whose first foal is a Zoustar two year-old colt who has trialled. Listed Dequetteville Stakes winner Split Lip’s third foal is Lot 491, a Hanseatic colt.

Several pedigree highlights in this draft represent brilliant race mares and stakes producing mares, include a Zoustar colt, Lot 115, who is out of Gr3 winner Crack The Code, a half-sister to Gr1 winner Covertly and two other stakes winners in Western Australia. The other Zoustar colt in the Rosemont draft,

Bella Nipotina

Lot 229 is the first foal of Gr2 Percy Sykes Stakes placed Joyous Legend (Snitzel), a daughter of Champion racemare More Joyous whose eight Gr1 wins netted over $4.5 million. “We have a lovely couple of colts by Zoustar, and a really nice Savabeel filly who has done super in the last few months.” Savabeel filly, Lot 268, is out of a Fastnet Rock half-sister to Gr1 winners Abbey Marie and Absolutely as well as Gr3 winner Runaway.

“The Written Tycoon’s dam, Divine Quality’s first foal has won two from three, and then her second foal won on debut impressively a couple of weeks ago. To offer a filly with her profile is exciting.” Written Tycoon filly, Lot 145 is out of Gr3 winner Divine Quality, whose first foal is Divine Cavallo (Pierro) and her three year-old is debut winner Summer Flame (Written Tycoon) trained by Chris Waller. With The Everest on their graduate board, and a massive return on investment for buyers over the past ten years, the Rosemont draft is well worth an inspection.
